How far are you from Canal Park?
We are a short drive from Canal Park, less than 10 minutes. Canal Park has so much to offer, it is the home of Amsoil Arena, DECC, Great Lakes Aquarium, Vista Fleet, William A. Irvin Ship, Playfront Park, Lake Superior Maritime Museum, and Bentleyville (Nov-Dec). You can jump onto the Lakewalk in Canal Park and find your way up the shore to Leif Erikson Park, Fitger's and more!
How far are you from downtown?
Also just a short drive to downtown Duluth, less than 10 minutes depending on where you are going. The east side of downtown has the Fitger's Complex, dining and more! Lake Avenue and Superior Street are the heart of downtown and you can find many shops and dining opportunities along Superior Street. The west side of downtown is the home to The Depot, The North Shore Scenic Railroad and the main branch of Duluth Public Library.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately, we do have a no pet policy. We have 3 dogs ourselves and understand those that want to travel with their fur family but as a courtesy to future guests (potential allergies) and our neighbors we do not allow any animals in our home.
Why do I have to pay tax?
The City of Duluth, St. Louis County and State of Minnesota all collect tax on vacation rental stays. The total is 11.375% and you will see this added to your stay on both VRBO and AIRBNB bookings. This is collected and then submitted to the appropriate entities.
Are you family friendly?
We tried to furnish the home so that all will feel comfortable here. We did add some amenities with families in mind. There is a pack and play (you provide your own linens), booster chair for dining, baby monitor and baby gates (we do have stairs throughout the home) located at the home for your use.
What are your outdoor amenities?
We have an outdoor dining set in one side of the garage. This is our 3-season space. There is also a gas grill, a portable charcoal cooking ring and lawn chairs for you to enjoy the yard. We have some lawn games and beach toys available as well.
